Travel document requirements may vary based on your home country and the destination of the Seven Moons Trip.

If you are a United States citizen, to travel to Greece and/or Spain all you will need is a valid passport that does not expire within 90 days after your day of arrival.

Visit https://www.visahq.com/ to find the exact travel documents required.

Guests are not required to perform any strenuous physical activity, all events are entirely voluntary.

If you have a disability that you think may affect your ability to enjoy a Seven Moons experience, it is very important you get in touch with us at info@sailsevenmoons.com prior to any booking to ensure one of our trips is right for you.

Each yacht has seasickness medication such as dramamine onboard for guests who get sick. In the event you get seasick, please let your captain/host know so they can assist!

If you believe you are prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing your own seasickness medication as well.

Yes! Actually, on our very first trip we taught our photographer how to swim! We won't put you through that though.

We have life jackets onboard each yacht and your captain will be more than happy to ferry you to the beaches with the yacht's dinghy.

Each Seven Moons trip will have at least one professional photographer to capture the best moments. You will have full access to the photos taken during the trip as well once it is finished.

Please keep in mind that by attending one of our trips you are consenting to being photographed and that these photos may be used for promotional material.

We have a packing list for each trip! Check them out here: #linktopackinglist.

We will also send this packing list out to you a few months before your trip date!

Yachts are full of non-conventional storage spaces that hardshell suitcases may have a hard time fitting into. We request that you bring your luggage in soft-shell bags. We recommend a maximum of one softshell checked bag, one carryon bag, and a backpack, but we'll try our best to store everything.

About Your Yacht

Premium Monohull (Spain Only)

These yachts are 50+ feet, have 4-5 guest cabins and additional crew cabins. There will be at least 3 bathrooms aboard the yacht, meaning that you may have to share a bathroom with another cabin.

From a sailing perspective, monohulls provide the "classic" sailing experience. For private yacht charters, most people who want to book and sail a boat on their own choose monohulls because they are more "fun" to actively sail than catamarans.

Premium Catamaran (Spain and Greece)

These yachts are typically 10-15 years old, between 40-45 ft, and are much more spacious due to having two hulls instead of just one. Each will have 4 guest cabins, each with their own ensuite bathroom.

Catamarans provide more space to move around inside the yacht, even during transits, making them more comfortable for guests.

For private yacht charters booked around the world, people who want to book a boat and just enjoy their holiday will choose catamarans over monohulls because they are more comfortable.

Eclipse Catamaran (Spain)/Luxury Catamaran (Greece):

These yachts are newer generation models than Premium Catamarans, 45+ ft, and are even more spacious than Premium Catamarans. Each will have 4 larger guest cabins with their own ensuite bathroom that includes a full shower.

These catamarans guarantee the addition of a Flybridge lounge, which is an outdoor lounge area above the saloon that offers great views and even more space for you to relax.

The yachts shown on our website (except for the Spain Eclipse trip) are shown for informational purposes as an example for our yacht categories and your yacht may look slightly different than what is shown, but all of the same features will be onboard.

When you book a cabin, we will pair you up with up to three or four other cabin bookings of the same yacht category! You will get the full crew's information about one month before the trip.

Of course! Please just let us know after you and your friends have all booked the same yacht category and we will do our best to make sure it happens.

Each yacht will have wifi onboard, but due to the nature of sailing, wifi may be limited at times during transit or on anchor nights.

There will not be a safe on the yacht, but the captain will lock the entrance to the interior of the yacht during nights onshore.

We are not responsible for lost/stolen items, so our recommendation is to never bring anything too valuable if you are concerned!

Most plug-in electric appliances like a hairdryer will need 240 volt power, which will be supplied whenever we are docked and connected to shore power OR when we have the generator running.

Phones, tablets, laptops, cameras, and similar items will be chargeable through the USB ports available throughout the yacht at all times.

Seven Moons does not own the yachts used on our trips, yacht charter companies do. The charter company requires payment of a refundable deposit by card authorization/cash at check-in to ensure coverage of any damage that may occur during your trip.

Providing there is no damage at the end of the week, this will be returned in full. We will inform you of the security deposit amount when we provide the full yacht and crew details around one month before your trip. The security deposit can range anywhere from 200-500 Euros per person.

You will not be responsible for any damages to the yacht made by the working crew. The refund of your security deposit will initiate at the end of your trip and can take anywhere from 3-10 business days to process. We will notify you immediately when we receive word that the refund has been processed from the yacht charter company.

Sailing is an adventurous sport and damages on the boats are sometimes unavoidable. Charter companies own the boats and sometimes the yacht you booked unfortunately may not be available for your week due to damage or other unknown reasons. If this happens to the yacht we have reserved for you and your crew, we reserve the right to replace the boat you have booked. If we are forced to replace the boat, we will notify you as soon as possible before departure and provide you with the same or similar model or standard of the yacht to the original booking. If the replacement yacht is of lower standard or price, we will always refund the difference in price.

Yes! We want you to focus entirely on enjoying your week at sea so we include as much as possible in our booking, including water taxis to get you to shore.

Life Onboard

Generally, each day on your trip will begin with raising the anchor/leaving the marina in the morning, with breakfasts prepped by your personal chef/host featuring only local ingredients.

The rest of the day will be spent sailing, visiting isolated beaches, swimming, having lunch prepped for you, and exploring each stop! Our goal is to maximize the amount of time you can swim around in the clear Mediterranean waters.

Each day will feature a different event catered to you and your crew, such as a guided winery tour, movie nights at sea, and beach/yacht DJ parties.

Yes, each captain must follow the route set by the lead captain of the trip.

There will be designated free time each day for you to explore the islands we visit on your own, though.

If you get a taste of adventure from our trip and want to plan your own route, we also organize private charters for guests who want to explore on their own in the future, with exclusive benefits provided to those who come from previous Seven Moons trips!

Usually if you are only a few hours late it should be okay since we will be doing the check-in process. Please communicate with your captain as soon as possible about your tardiness though so we can try to accommodate you. If you arrive past the time we actually set sail you will need to coordinate with your captain and take a ferry/potentially take a water taxi at your own expense.

Food

  • All breakfasts and lunches are included with your booking, along with a welcome dinner/any dinners not designated as port nights.
  • We also provision snacks for the duration of the trip as well.
  • On dock nights, your restaurant meals are not included with the booking.

Drinks

  • We provide non-alcoholic beverages onboard each yacht such as still & sparkling water, juice, milk, and soda.
  • You are welcome to bring alcoholic beverages aboard, we just do not provide them ourselves.

We work with local restaurants to provide special rate menus for you during your trip.

An appetizer, main dish, a dessert, and a drink will cost around 30-40 Euros at each stop.

Unlike other providers, we take care of the food for your captain and host ourselves. We want to minimize any distractions for you as you enjoy your week at sea!

Absolutely. Part of the crew information you will fill out as we get closer to the date will include dietary restrictions so your host knows what to prepare!

Yes, the yachts will have bluetooth connection available for you to play music from your device through the yacht's speakers.

Sailing time will vary per trip and per day, but we aim to minimize the amount of time in transit each day and focus on beach stops, on island activities, and relaxing on the yacht.

Transits each day may be around 2-3 hours and are broken up with unique beaches, seaside lunches, and other activities.

Captains & Hosts

Every single yacht on our trips is led by an expert sailing captain. Their job is to guide you throughout your week at sea to make sure you are having fun and staying safe.

Each captain will provide a safety briefing at the beginning of the trip, give you tips and tricks to life at sea, and take you to all of the best spots with your yacht!

Each yacht booked for a Seven Moons flotilla includes a hospitality expert, whose job is to prepare breakfasts and lunches onboard for the entire yacht and make sure you're at your most comfortable. This means keeping the yacht tidy and clean, freshening up each cabin's bathroom throughout the trip, and preparing the occasional cocktail and snack for the crew.

Everyone will find out their yacht, guest, and crew assignments about one month before the departure date! We will include information about each professional crew member so you get to know them a bit better, and we will even have a virtual meet & greet session with them where you can ask plenty of questions, get advice on what to bring, and learn what makes them so great!

Absolutely not, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to help out if you would like!

Helping the captain sail the yacht can also be a core memory of the trip - you could help by swimming to the shore with landline ropes, dropping/raising the anchor, or even sailing the boat itself if you'd like!

All Seven Moons staff are required to be fluent in English.

After you are informed of the staff on your yacht, we will set up a date and time for you to meet your captain and maybe even your host online!

Tipping is a common practice for captains and hosts, but it is entirely up to your discretion based on the performance of the crew!

Destinations

Sailing is a weather dependent activity, so our stops may change due to weather or at the discretion of the lead captain of the flotilla. We reserve the right to make these changes and always have contingency plans and backup stops to make sure you still get to enjoy your vacation to the fullest!

We stock the yacht with food for meals and snacks prepped by the host along with non-alcoholic beverages. If you would like to get your own drinks/snacks/water toys/etc. there will be multiple stops that have grocery stores and mini-markets within walking distance of the marinas we will dock at!

Mallorcan Eclipse

For our Mallorcan Eclipse trip, you should fly into the Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). We will ask for your flight details as we get closer to the date to sort out transportation for you to your designated marina.

The yachts will depart from the main port area of Palma. There are three or four sub-marinas with different names, but all of the bookings will leave from the Port of Palma area. More information will be provided along with your yacht information around one month prior to the trip.

We will provide transportation from the Palma airport to your designated marina. If you miss your pickup, the best method of reaching the marina will be either via taxi or bus.

There are a few different luggage storage services offered near the marina if you have too much luggage to bring onboard. Here are a few links to luggage storage services nearby:

Check-in will be at 3pm with the goal of leaving the marinas at 5pm on August 8th.

We will return to the original dock the following Friday around 5pm, where check-out will be initiated, but everyone is allowed to spend the night and depart Saturday morning at 8AM.

Greece Trips

The closest airport for our Greece route is Aktion International Airport in Preveza, Greece (PVK), but flights are limited. Most of our guests will be flying into Athens International Airport (ATH) and we will provide an option for transportation from Athens to Lefkada via an air-conditioned charter van/bus with a professional driver. If you are flying into Athens, you must get into Athens before noon on the day of the departure.

The yachts will depart from either the Port of Lefkas or D-Marin Lefkada, which are two marinas right next to each other and functionally one large marina. More information will be provided along with your yacht information around one month prior to the trip.

We provide a transportation option from Athens to Lefkada for guests flying into ATH. If you are flying into PVK or are taking another method of travel, further instructions on how to get to your designated marina will be provided to you along with your yacht information about one month before the trip.

Check-in will be at 5pm with the goal of leaving the marinas at 6:30 pm on the day of your departure. We will return to the original marina the following Friday at 5PM, where check-out will be initiated, but everyone is allowed to spend the night and depart Saturday morning at 9AM.

Cancellations

Initial bookings are fully refundable up to 24 hours in advance minus the associated payment processing fees made to book your trip. Due to many nonrefundable expenses on our side required to support your booking, after the 24 hour period following your initial booking, any paid sums are non-refundable.

If you are unable to join on your planned trip anymore, you can cancel your booking with a cancellation fee that covers the nonrefundable expenses made to support your trip. The cancellation fee will be the total sum of payments made prior to your cancellation, and you will no longer need to pay any additional scheduled deposits.

Unfortunately postponing your trip to another year is impossible at this time.

Check-in will be at 5pm with the goal of leaving the marinas at 6:30 pm on the day of your departure. We will return to the original marina the following Friday at 5PM, where check-out will be initiated, but everyone is allowed to spend the night and depart Saturday morning at 9AM.

If you need to change your trip to another week in the same summer, you must notify us as quickly as possible at info@sailsevenmoons.com to check if it is possible to swap out your trip. We reserve the right to grant or reject requests for trip changes. For granted week changes, you will be responsible to pay the difference between trips if the new week is priced higher than your current trip. If the requested week is priced the same or lower than your current trip, your current booking rate will be kept the same.
